James and the Giant Peach (1996) – Disney Movie of the Week
This week’s Disney Movie of the Week is from the mid-90’s, the Disney animated renaissance had reached its zenith and was on its way down. The rest of the studio’s output was hit or miss during this period. Was this weeks’ pick “James and the Giant Peach” a hit or a miss? Today “Man of Steel” Zack Snyder‘s reboot of the Superman mythos is released on Blu-Ray. I had mixed feelings about the movie, I know I liked it enough but definitely did not love it. Continuing the movie of the week format, I’ve decided for this month to have an overall theme as well. I’ve chosen Disney films because this column and many others on this site will lead up to my birthday (December 5th if you want to get me something), which will be spent at Disneyland.
