Björk Gudmunsdottir – Álfur Út Úr Hól (Fool on the Hill) (1977)

One thing people may not know is Björk has been belting out incredible songs since her childhood. As a 12 year-old, she released her first and self-titled album filled with songs from Stevie Wonder, Edgar Wright and this Beatles classic. Her tiny voice singing this version of Fool on the Hill really does the song justice. The fact that she’s translated it makes us listen to the harmony and focus less on the message. Think Paul would agree?

If you have the time, explore her mid-70’s songs on YouTube (I Love to Love is also really good).

Have a great Saturday!
